• A user may utilize existing discharge instructions, modify them on the fly,  or change them and save them in a reusable archive. 

• Referral physician's office address and phone number automatically printed on the instructions

• If a prescription has been given, the system automatically prints the medication on the discharge instruction. 

• Limit liability by providing teaching and instruction for secondarily identified health issues. Example: Patient that has back strain, but has incidental borderline hypertension.  Give a discharge teaching instruction to cover both, and have a record that you did so.
