EDIT SCREEN

This screen is the edit screen.  This screen is commonly used in either of the documentation methods.  It is also the screen that appears after a patient has had partial documentation initiated, and then has had their record suspended awaiting final disposition, as well as late data input.  Once the user has reached this screen in the documentation process, choosing the Patient Select Screen button in the lower right corner will take the practitioner back to the active patient screen.  Here the suspended record now has the patient highlighted in light blue.

To create as standard template for the user to refer back to in the future, observe the button in the black circle. However, when creating a standard template, remember that everything in the current edit screen will be saved.  It is the recommendation of the developers, that when building standard templates, the user input fictitious patients, and utilize that patient to build a template specific to a final diagnosis.  Leave the areas in History of Present Illness, Past Medical History, and Medical Decision Making blank, as these vary from patient to patient.
PEARL: When building a template, in an effort to remind the user for future use of critical data areas, placing a period in a text box selection for that field will act to keep that field as a part of an archived template, thus bringing it into the edit screen the next time the template is retrieved.

The selections within the green circle are access buttons to the prescription writer and the discharge instruction.

The selection represented by the type of button in the blue circle, are rapid edit buttons.  These take a user directly that screen, for rapid data input.  This makes navigating all the screens for one data element unnecessary.
PEARL: When making permanent changes to an existing template or Quick Record for saving as a new or edited standard, utilize these button.  This is the only method that saves new or edited data to the permanent standard archive.  The user will notice that rapid access to editing the current record only can be accessed via the buttons within the last two colored circles.

The light blue bar on the edit screen area within the red circle is also utilized to access the history screen.  However, editing a template in this fashion will not save changes permanently to the standards archive.

Double clicking any area on the white background, represented within the yellow circle,  within the edit screen results in the a edit pop up screen.  Again, this area is for rapid editing the current record only.

Click in any of the circular areas, or any of the buttons at the bottom of the screen.
