CHIEF COMPLAINT SCREEN

The chief complaint screen enables the user to enter multiple complaints.  Notice the numbers in the red circle.  These represent recommended acuity levels.  These levels correspond with the usual E & M level that that specific chief complaint generates.  However, the final E & M level is based on the supporting documentation and the relationship to the final diagnosis.  The reason for including the levels on the screen, is to let the user know which level the intuitive interface is proceeding from.  The DOCTORS CHOICE software system has a intuitive interface that helps the user follow documentation guidelines.  The interface that is activated is always based on the Chief complaint in the #1 position.  Knowing this is important, because if a user has a level 3 chief complaint which turns into a level 5 interaction, then they will know to be more cognizant of including the appropriate supporting documentation.

 pressing the Patient Select screen resets the user to the Active patient screen.
